On October 21, twenty-five eighth grade students from Philadelphia’s Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School were welcomed to the Morgan State campus by NCEED staff member Walter Fields. The students were starting a three day tour of HBCUs and chose to stop at Morgan before heading to North Carolina. The students were shown the Mitchell Engineering School Building, experienced a lecture hall and were taught about the different classroom modalities on a college campus, and visited the Center for the Built Environment and Infrastructure. They ended their visit with lunch in the Thurgood Marshall Hall Dining Room.
