Drs. Elizabeth Holliday Morgan and Simone Gibson recently participated in the 2025 annual Writing Retreat hosted by E² and R & R Ranch and held in North Carolina the week of May 19-23rd. This Faculty Writing Retreat is designed to foster scholarly productivity and wellness for university faculty by offering protected writing time, peer mentorship, and connection within a supportive academic community.
During the retreat, Dr. Morgan and Dr. Gibson revisited and refined their research agendas, completed key writing projects, and developed collaborative work plans for upcoming scholarship. They also dedicated time to advancing proposals for the 2026 AERA Conference and laying the groundwork for new research initiatives. The retreat provided a vital space for both reflection and creative momentum as they continue their shared commitment to research rooted in educational equity and community engagement.
