After completing two years of preparation, writing, and studying to submit the four components for National Board Certification, the candidates and mentors came together for a culminating celebration on June 4.  The celebratory dinner, held at Hoen’s MSU Board Room, was especially meaningful as meetings are typically held virtually; it is always exciting to meet in-person for fellowship and collaboration. We are especially proud that two of our teachers (Natyra Blount – 2023; Tonette Campbell – 2024) were selected as Semifinalists for Teacher of the Year during this cohort (2023-2025).  Congrats to Natyra and Tonette on those achievements and to all NBC candidates for your participation in this rigorous program!  Special thanks to NCEED’s Esther Ward, NBC Coordinator, for her leadership at this event.
