NCEED and We Will All Rise partnered and sponsored the 2nd Annual BELIEF Fellowship Convening on the campus of Morgan State University at the School of Education & Urban Studies’ Banneker Hall on January 7-8, 2025. The BELIEF Fellowship Convening was a two-day gathering designed to empower, affirm, and support young men of color who are pursuing careers in education. The event brought together 15-20 aspiring Black and Brown educators from our Baltimore and Atlanta cohorts. Joined by All Rise staff and institutional and funding partners, the convening allowed Fellows to develop professionally, strengthen their
leadership skills, and explore strategies for creating inclusive and impactful classrooms. This convening focused on advancing the next generation of educators committed to making a difference in their communities through interactive workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities.
Dr. Darryl Williams, NCEED Assistant Director collaborated with President and CEO Ricardo Neal and Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Mark Nash and supported the two day convening. Dr. Williams also served on the panel entitled, Insights from Experienced Educators of Color, along with Ms.Johari Toe, Program director of Baltimore City Teaching Residency – TNTP, The New Teacher Project, and Mr. Joseph Manko, Accountability & Implementation Board (AIB) Board member and Education Program Officer at Abell Foundation.
