Dr Simone Gibson served as an invited panelist for the  Strengthening Secondary Literacy: A DMV-Area Leadership Summit on Thursday, January 30. The Summit convened secondary stakeholders throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia to uplift the efforts of the local workforce in addressing literacy.  The event was hosted by Coactive Collection.  Talking points addressed strategies for helping teachers embrace a growth-oriented mindset toward literacy instruction and creating cultures of positivity and possibility when addressing literacy challenges in secondary schools.
