On Monday, March 31, Dr. Elizabeth Holliday Morgan was invited to speak on a panel hosted by the University of Memphis College of Education’s Special Education department. The discussion focused on the role of intersectionality in education. Speaking to a group of undergraduate students preparing to become educators, Dr. Morgan emphasized the importance of using an intersectional lens to understand and support the diverse identities of their future students. She encouraged aspiring teachers to recognize the strengths and assets each student brings to the classroom in order to foster inclusive, equitable, and accessible learning environments for all.
