Dr. Sharde Theodore attended the in-person November 15 Alfred Street Baptist Church HBCU Festival, providing information to attendees on Morgan State University, the School of Education and Urban Studies, and NCEED. Over 70 colleges and universities were represented during the two-day hybrid event.
“The festival is dedicated to connecting high school students and their families to HBCUs, and scholarship opportunities…Since 2003, this one-of-a-kind college fair has connected more than 60,000 attendees to academic institutions. At the Fall 2024 festival, ASBC hosted over 10,000 attendees, 1,714 onsite admission decisions were distributed and over $6.3 million in scholarships and waived fees were awarded to thousands of students. Additionally in 2024, Alfred Street Baptist Church presented Howard University with a $100,000 gift to cover the outstanding tuition and fee balances of 34 graduating seniors.”
