Niya Mogheeth is a Senior at Louisiana State University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Her research focuses on mental health in higher education, particularly supporting minoritized undergraduate students, with a specific emphasis on Black HBCU STEM and transfer students. She has served as a mentor for high school seniors at the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC) for three years, assisting with the transition from high school to higher education. Passionate about psychology, she aspires to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and work in and support those in underserved communities.
