Gelysia A. Anderson is a rising senior at Howard University, majoring in psychology. Her work as an undergraduate student has varied from volunteering with Rising Stars Youth Services in the Virgin Islands to working in the IBUP Psychology Lab, run by Dr. Afiya Fredericks.  Gelysia plans to pursue a doctorate in Developmental Psychology, with a research focus on how cultural stigmas surrounding mental health shape identity development in minority communities.
