Dr. Leslie Anderson, research faculty for the Social and Emotional Learning and Psychological Well-being Pillar, was recently awarded funding from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The funding will support Dr. Anderson’s development of a culturally responsive, trauma-informed school intervention designed specifically for Black middle school students. Since 2020, Morgan’s RCMI program has awarded pilot funding to up to five early career investigators annually, recognizing promising research that promotes equity in public health and the behavioral sciences.
