NCEED hosted its second annual Young Scholars Day on April 7, 2025 with over 1,000 elementary and middle school students from Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and the District of Columbia in attendance. Young Scholars Day is designed to inspire children’s early consideration of college and careers as part of the work of the fSTAR Pillar of NCEED. The students toured the campus and were treated to a performance by the world renowned university marching band, The Magnificent Marching Machine.  NCEED was assisted by a group of student and community volunteers during this event.
